“As you are aware the storm of COVID 19 had its grip in the entertainment sector, this meant that production on our end was also confronted and went through certain delays and postponements, this alone in its state was beyond our control. Now that we have a semblance of normalcy we are ready to roll despite the odds, while also adhering to safety guidelines.”

He also said that some of their cast members who are persuing academic endeavors also meant a slight hiccup in the production of the film .

“Also of note is the fact that our cast members are still pursuing their academic journeys Biko ‘Dillon Mafukidze’ is yet to complete his mining program at MSU Tadiwanashe Bopoto ‘Noku’ is still going through her medicine studies at the same institution while Tapiwa Nzira ‘Chido’ is with Chinhoyi University of Technology doing tourism. In this view a proper balance has to be set in place between their studies and our production process. When all is said and done we would like to pay homage to everyone who has been patiently waiting, our hope is that the final output will communicate something to the masses in a significant way”

In a synopsis Derby said that fans should expect fireworks.

He said:
“After a successful season in Bulawayo with Bulawayo Pirates, Man Tawa returns to Harare right at the start of the World Cup. His world has changed, Noku is in a relationship, Biko is forging his own path and Shami has taken matters into her own hands. Season 2 follows Tawanda and Noku as they try to grow as people in the face of a pending divorce, fraught relationships and most of all a change in responsibility”
